You can also get exp from leeching – which is being in the same party as someone else who killed a monster. You can get exp from doing quests, killing bosses, and killing monsters. The only thing noteworthy to point out is that the exp required to level grows exponentially, with level 199 to 200 requiring more than a billion exp.
